Jeju Island: Situated just 64 kilometers south of the Korean Peninsula, Korea’s largest island, Jeju Island, has been described as the Hawaii of Korea. It offers unbelievably breathtaking views from coast to coast, ranging from the waterfalls at Hae-anjidae to the naturally sculpted cliffs at Jusang Jeolli. One can enjoy these wonderments by hiking, bike riding, paragliding, scuba diving, windsurfing, hunting, horseback riding, swimming in the ocean, and sightseeing boat trips. This is a must-see for all travelers.

The Village of Panmunjom and the DMZ: With the cessation of hostilities between North and South Korea that marked the end of the Korean war, the Demilitarized Zone was set up by the United Nations to separate the two nations. The village of Panmunjom sits directly in the middle of the DMZ and is where most high-level talks between the two Korean governments take place. Even though incidents do occasionally occur between South Korean and North Korean fishing ships and naval vessels, because of the presence of 36,000 US troops here, war will simply never happen, and the overwhelming majority of Koreans and foreigners here scoff at the mere mention of it. However, because of great news coverage by CNN and other news networks, Panmunjom and the DMZ have become favorite tourist attractions. Tours run daily and can be arranged through any major hotel.
